Stephen MinistryBear one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2
WHAT IS STEPHEN MINISTRY?Stephen Ministry equips lay people, through training and discipleship, to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing difficultites in their lives.
STEPHEN MINISTRY MULTIPLIES MINISTRY
Pastors will always be on the front line of care, especially during times of crisis. But there are always many more needs for ongoing, one-to-one care than pastors can effectively meet by themselves. A Stephen Minister:
• Is a gifted lay person who is trained to support and extend the care that pastors continue to provide.
• A child of God who walks beside a person who is hurting.
• A caring Christian who listens, cares, prays, supports and encourages.
• A lay person who has received 50 hours of training in providing emotional and spiritual care.
If you are in a place in your life where you feel you need help, perhaps one of our Stephen Ministers can be of assistance. Please do not hesitate to reach out--we're here to take your hand.
